In Chile, CPAP focuses on technical support to the plastics industry and collaboration with local and national authorities, with the main emphasis on technical and legislative assistance for the implementation of the REP Law.
CPAP Chile centers on various technical and legislative advisory activities for the implementation of public policies that advance in a reduction of plastic. In addition, it seeks to highlight European initiatives or innovations and evaluate possible implementations in the plastic value chain in Chile. To this end, it is proposed to generate instances of collaboration between current needs and possible European solutions or alternatives related to this matter.
This project also proposes to generate educational campaigns with national scope, in order to achieve a greater impact on citizen awareness from an early age regarding plastic waste.
Strengthen the EU’s leading role in the transition to plastics of the future and contribute to more resilient and competitive plastics and recycling industries. The action will contribute to the EU achieving its global climate commitments and industrial policy objectives, supporting the international aspects of the EU Plastics Strategy in the Americas Region.
Support the transition towards sustainable production and consumption of plastics in the Americas Region and contribute significantly to the reduction of marine and river litter, supported by European approaches, policies and business models.
